Although the replacement of deser tization with feminization seems to represent a major change in attitude, the strategic goal under pinning both initiatives was the same. Challenging the conventional emphasis on the feminization of consumption and fashion, it repositions men as subjects in arising debates on the nature of class, sexuality, modernity, fashion and city life. The modification just made on the basis of 40 then makes it possible to account for morphological feminization by extending the algorithm that generates genderlect phenomena.
