释义 | passivization noun[ U ] specialized(UK usuallypassivisation)uk /ˌpæs.ɪ.vaɪˈzeɪ.ʃən/ us /ˌpæs.ɪ.vəˈzeɪ.ʃən/ the process of changing a verb or sentence into the passive: 把(动词或句子)变成被动式 The subject of the sentence is hard to identify because of passivization.由于是被动式,该句的主语很难确定。 The research included transitive verbs that allow passivization (e.g. hit).该研究包括了允许变为被动式的及物动词(如hit)。 See passivize Passivization of such sentences cannot occur in the present tense. The language has a separate rule for passivization. This verb does not behave as a single verb regarding passivization. Linguistics: verb forms, tenses & types of verbs accusative art bare infinitive bent continuous copula finite gerund modality non-finite non-progressive passive perfective pluperfect present participle subjunctive the active voice the future perfect the past continuous the past tense Examples of passivizationpassivization The data show that auxiliary selection and impersonal passivization correlate to some extent, although the correlation is not perfect. Direct passivization of such verbs became the norm as early as the thirteenth century. But the difference between them is that passives remain semantically transitive even after passivization. Passivization applies uniformly to unergative stems, and deletes their initial subject term, yielding a detransitivized output. These changes seem to involve primarily register features such as forms of address, passivization, and hedges rather than propositional meaning. At the very least, one could object that the notion of multiple passivization is misapplied here, as the formal similarity is plausibly regarded as concord. Additional evidence comes from the possibility of passivization. The prerequisites of passivization are thus not met, since the impersonal obligatorily lacks the subject that the passive rule seeks to delete. That is, the data can be accounted for by assuming that passivization is impossible for predicates that have non-b-reduced semantic structures. Since neither passivization nor impersonalization applies to non-transitive predicates, it will be useful to have a way of referring to non-empty lists. The difference between passivization and impersonalization reflects a secondary division within the class of morphosyntactic operations. This means that change of state verbs clearly disallow impersonal passivization, and they do so to a greater extent than change of location verbs. For example, the former sentence differs from the latter in permitting passivization. Presumably they would need to consider which objects undergo pronominalization and passivization, and whether unspecified themes are dropped or not. Passivization is a detransitivizing operation that deletes a subject term in the argument structure of a verb. These examples are from corpora and from sources on the web.
