释义 | Locrian adjective music specializeduk /ˈləʊ.kri.ən/ us /ˈloʊ.kri.ən/ of or relating to the musical mode(= arrangement of notes) represented by the diatonic scale from B to B: Bars 113–116 derive from the Locrian mode, and bars 117–120 invert the mode to F Lydian. Part of the countertenor melody is based on a Locrian F sharp scale. Dorian, Aeolian, Locrian, melodic minor, and harmonic minor scales are some of the minor scales widely used in today's music. The Aeolian and Locrian modes, both close to the minor scale, are associated with dark sections of the piece. Bach subjected these pitches to modal modification, imparting a basically Phrygian or Locrian character.
