词汇 | f-stop |
释义 | f-stop noun[ C ] (alsof stop, F stop)uk /ˈefˌstɒp/ us /ˈefˌstɑːp/ a measurement of the aperture(= the size of the opening that allows in light) of a camera: I typically overexpose my shots by one f-stop. The scale on the meter shows the lens apertures, or f-stops, and the shutter speeds. The lower the f stop the shallower the depth of field. A small aperture (high f-stop) creates a deep depth of field, so both the statues and the building are in focus. Confusingly, a low f-stop signifies a larger aperture and shallower depth of field. Take your normal 50-mm lens and set it to its widest f-stop opening. You can practise different combinations of F stop, focal length, and distance from the subject to see what works.
