词汇 | autostereogram |
释义 | autostereogram noun[ C ] uk /ˌɔː.təʊˈster.i.əʊ.ɡræm/ us /ˌɑː.t̬oʊˈster.i.oʊ.ɡræm/ a two-dimensional(= flat) image that gives the illusion(= the belief that you can see something that is not really there) of being three-dimensional(= having length, width, and depth) if you look at it in a certain way: Have you ever stared at an autostereogram, waiting for that hidden 3D scene to pop out from the random pattern of colours? This autostereogram encodes a 3D image of mountains, which can be seen with the right viewing technique. Unlike normal stereograms, autostereograms do not require the use of a stereoscope. Autostereograms are two-dimensional (2D) images with repeating patterns that hide an underlying three-dimensional (3D) image. When you first look at an autostereogram, you see repeating 2D patterns from both eyes, because your brain automatically focuses on the image itself. An autostereogram is an optical illusion of depth usually observed by allowing the eyes to focus either behind an image (wall-eyed) or in front of the image (cross-eyed).
