Of these, only surface soil temperatures had a significant negative relationship with crab abundance. However, we cannot exclude the possibility that these differences could be host-specific effects, since crab hosts in the different countries belonged to different genera. Crab hunting appears to have occurred at all sites with the same intensity. Human infections with the lung fluke are acquired by eating raw or undercooked freshwater crabs containing live metacercariae. They came to the conclusion that optokinetic eye movements in translating crabs were governed by stationary contours in the visual field. If the early modern historian is usefully to extend the parameters of this subject, movement has (perhaps inevitably) to be crab-like. I define this transition region by the perpendicular gradient of crab burrows that ranges from 0 to 1 m-2. Households in the government and private sectors are grouped together in a 'non-subsistence' category because there was no significant difference in their crab collection activities. Exclosure quadrats were infiltrated by small numbers of crabs that climbed over the fencing requiring repeated trapping throughout the experiment. Design of a genetic-fuzzy system for planning crab gaits of a six-legged robot. Fencing material was buried at least 15 cm into the soil to deter crabs burrowing beneath. The number of crab burrows per quadrat was variable with densities ranging from 6 to 32 burrows per 25 m2. Based on survey data, the gross market value of crabs collected in 1996 was about $550, 000/year, almost twice the value of firewood. In contrast, seedlings at the cotyledon stage and taller (26- 50 cm) were unaffected by crab exclusion. In other words, larger crabs tended to harbour more cysts on average than smaller conspecifics. This is comparable to an average density of 16 crabs + 6 caught per 15-min catching period in the present study. Under such circumstances, mangrove crab populations would decline, as would the abundance of fish in the coastal zone. For crab abundance there are two close groupings: plots 2, 4 and 9 and the remaining plots. Several methods have been employed to estimate crab abundance. Presumably, it must reflect the relative effectiveness of excitatory and inhibitory summations within the dendrites of wide-field movement detector neurones within the crab optic tract. This suggests that tree and seedling diversity may be important in supporting crab diversity, or vice versa. These examples are from corpora and from sources on the web.
