释义 | erythroblast noun[ C ] anatomy specializeduk /ɪrˈɪθ.rə.blɑːst/ us /erˈɪθ.rə.blæst/ a cell in bone marrow(= soft tissue in the centre of a bone) that becomes a red blood cell (= a cell that carries oxygen around the body): This interferes with the ability of erythroblasts to incorporate iron. It is an inherited disorder that prevents developing red blood cells, erythroblasts, from making enough haemoglobin. The number of binding sites on erythroblasts from patients with an iron deficiency anaemia was significantly greater than in normal subjects. Fetal erythroblasts are abundant in fetal blood, comprising approximately 10% of the red blood cells in the 11-week fetus. The red marrow, found within certain bones in the adult, contains an abundance of erythroblasts, which multiply by mitosis.
