Some of these examples may show the adjective use. Sometimes the cremated remains are placed in an urn, but more commonly they are scattered in a small pit or placed in an organic container. The cremated bones were placed inside such ollas, which were placed around the walls of the chamber. These gardens were designed not to accommodate full body burials, but to provide a place in which cremated remains could be strewn or interred. In this chamber we found the cremated remains of one adolescent and one child, without any non-perishable tomb offerings. The cremated remains were placed in large ollas, covered with a rounded sherd, and returned to be deposited within the interior of the tomb chamber. The chamber floor is in the foreground, showing (nearest) an incised pottery cup, to the left (southeast) of which are cremated human remains. A significant percentage of the increased number of central graves contain cremated persons. The bodies of these individuals had been cremated. Because the remains were cremated and because the urns and the monument lack hieroglyphs, it is difficult to know who the two personages were. Evident importance was placed on returning the cremated bone fragments to the chambers inside the ollas. During this period, between one third and one half of the skeleton remains in central graves were cremated. Inside, we found the jumbled cremated remains of at least three adults, one sub-adult, and two infants. The third piece of evidence lies in the presence of cremated bones found inside the funerary ollas, and the fourth is the radiocarbon dates. A supplement to the essay relates that these jars were re-used as urns for cremated remains down to the beginning of the nineteenth century. It protects the life of every individual by ensuring that nobody can be buried or cremated without a valid death certificate which attests to the cause of death.
