词汇 allism
释义 allism
noun[ U ]
uk /ˈæl.ɪ.zəm/ us /ˈæl.ɪ.zəm/
a term used to refer to the brain condition of someone who does not show any of the characteristics associated with autism: 无自闭症状态
People with allism have a huge advantage in modern social interaction. 无自闭症者在现代社会交往中具有巨大的优势。
The terms "allism" and "neurotypical" are generally only used within the autism community.“无自闭症”和“无神经学特异表现”这两个词一般只在自闭症社区内使用。
People with allism tend to engage actively in group activities and do not tend to develop their own individualized interests in the same ways that autistic people often can.
The word "allism" is not synonymous with "neurotypical" —allistic people are by definition not autistic, but can be neurodivergent in other ways (e.g. dyslexia).
