the practice of answering a criticism or difficult question by making a similar criticism or asking a different but related question, typically starting with the words "What about?": “那又怎么办”主义(指面对批评或问题的时候用类似的批评或问题来回答,句子里通常有“…又怎么办”的表达)
He's the kind of person who responds to an attempt to protect women from domestic violence with whataboutery: "What about male victims of domestic violence?"他是那种对保护妇女免受家庭暴力的努力会作出“那又怎么说”回应的人:“家庭暴力的男性受害者又怎么办呢?”
Whataboutery destroys effective communication and rational discussion, and is just an emotional response to a comment.

Whataboutery tries to discredit an argument by raising the charge of hypocrisy or double standards.
When they have no answer to an accusation, people often retreat into whataboutery.
Some words are great additions - I'm particularly fond of whataboutery ("the practice of repeatedly blaming the other side").
