Thus, over millions of years, substantial deposits of waterice might accumulate, presumably mixed in with the uppermost few metres of regolith. We did not have this kind of impurity peak if we extracted ion beams from the pure anode without waterice inclusion. The adsorptive bond of water molecules is about twice as strong on mineral surfaces compared with on waterice. If these regions of high hydrogen concentration represent waterice content, then they would be ideal places to search for organic preservation. This study focused on a waterice source. By contrast, the residual northern cap is waterice (plus some dust). In the lower layers above the microscopic surfaces of sorbent minerals, adsorption water has a much stronger bond to these surfaces than waterice. This adsorption enthalpy is a measure for the energetic bond of water molecules, which are adsorbed on the surface of waterice. Therefore, evaporation of adsorption water in porous soil happens on time scales, which exceed those of sublimation of waterice by orders of magnitude. In order to model these processes we used a waterice sample covered by several centimetres of sand containing organic matter. This potentially very important result is still awaiting confirmation, but if waterice is present it is most likely derived from the impacts of comets with the lunar surface. A small part of them consist of very large bodies, quite comparable to planets of terrestrial type, but including a very significant share of waterice. In order to model it we used a waterice sample covered by several centimetres of sand with a weight fraction of organic matter (glucose) y10-5-10-4. I should have thought that the temperance drinks referred to could be made sufficiently attractive without the addition of waterice. From the Hansard archive Example from the Hansard archive.
