释义 | ventricle noun[ C ] anatomy specializeduk /ˈven.trɪ.kəl/ us /ˈven.trɪ.kəl/ either of two small, hollow spaces, one in each side of the heart, that force blood into the tubes leading from the heart to the other parts of the body: 心室 The right ventricle pumps blood to the lungs. The aorta receives blood directly from the left ventricle of the heart via the aortic valve. any of four spaces in the brain that contain cerebrospinal fluid(= liquid that moves around the brain and spinal cord): Hydrocephalus is an abnormal build-up of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles of the brain. It is a haemorrhage of the area surrounding the lateral cerebral ventricles. See also fourth ventricle lateral ventricle third ventricle The thick, muscular walls of the ventricles squeeze inwards on the blood, increasing its pressure and pushing it out of the heart. The top two spaces are called atria and the bottom two are called ventricles. Cerebrospinal fluid circulates through the ventricles and the subarachnoid space. For convenience of description, the right ventricle will be accounted for in terms of its three regions. An intraventricular hemorrhage is a hemorrhage of the area surrounding the lateral cerebral ventricles. However, surgery directed to the treatment of the failing systemic ventricle should be abandoned in favor of heart transplantation. To our knowledge, this case report is the first description of dual right ventricles. A discrete atrioventricular septum was seen, and there was no elongation of the outflow tract of the left ventricle. We recently encountered two such cases, both with the segmental combination of mirror-imaged atrial arrangement, discordant atrioventricular connections, and double outlet right ventricle. The category of univentricular connections includes double inlet ventricles, along with absence of one atrioventricular connection. These septal areas can be absent entirely or in part in lesions such as double inlet ventricle or absence of one atrioventricular connection. The echocardiographic diagnosis was presence of a solitary ventricle with a single atrioventricular valve and an atrial septal defect. Perimembranous defects are found only when there are biventricular atrioventricular connections, or else when the right ventricle is dominant. These panels show (upper) absence of the right atrioventricular connection, but with the left atrium connected to a dominant right ventricle. An imperforate valve can be found in the setting of double inlet ventricle, or with any of the possible biventricular atrioventricular connections. Only the left atrium is connected to a ventricle (univentricular atrioventricular connection). The myocardium of the rudimentary right ventricle is separated by the atrioventricular groove from the muscular floor of the blind-ending right atrium.
