释义 | trochee noun[ C ] literature specializeduk /ˈtrəʊkiː/ us /ˈtroʊkiː/ a rhythm in poetry with one long or strong syllable and one short or weak syllable(诗歌的)扬抑格,长短格 Literature accentual action hero alliterative alternative history anapest femslash fiction fictionality fictionally fictive naturalistic non-canonical non-character non-literary non-metrical swashbuckler sympathetically tanka tartan noir theatrics Examples of trocheetrochee The second mora of the right-aligned bimoraic trochee (the final rhyme is extrametrical) can be filled with a consonant or with the lengthened vowel. A monomoraic trochee is the least harmonic foot, but a possible foot nonetheless. Since it requires that stressed syllables in general be heavy, it requires that the stressed syllable of a trochee be heavy. This ranking accounts for penultimate stress by ensuring that a bimoraic trochee is placed as close as possible to the right edge of the word. This expansion of the trochee must be most harmonic compared to other potential trochees. If epenthesis really is a means of creating bisyllabic trochees, we expect to observe a rhythmic effect in the unambiguous cases in the first place. Below, we examine the potential for foot-minimality to account for weight-sensitivity in generalised trochee languages. Moreover, epenthesis did not often change a monosyllabic foot into a bisyllabic trochee. In this note, we will assess whether epenthesis is really a means of obtaining bisyllabic trochees. The final foot is binary, usually a trochee, while the fifth foot is nearly always dactylic. The template has eight positions, forming four trochees. The output of (8) is a bimoraic, monosyllabic trochee on the penultimate syllable, which accounts for long stressed vowels in open penultimate syllables. The issues addressed by the proposal include weight-sensitivity in unbounded stress systems, weight-sensitivity in generalised trochee systems, iambic lengthening, trochaic lengthening and minimal word restrictions. It must be emphasised that the significance of these shortcomings goes beyond the particular context of weight-sensitivity in generalised trochee languages. Instead, it avoids clash by sharing a gridmark with a preceding trochee. These examples are from corpora and from sources on the web.
