These words all mean to move slowly.

The word crawl is used to say that vehicles move slowly, or that something is progressing slowly.


There'd been a bad accident on the motorway and traffic was crawling.
The work was crawling at a snail's pace.

The word trundle is used to describe the slow movement of large, heavy vehicles.


Lorries trundle through the narrow lanes.

You can say that someone creeps somewhere if they move there slowly and quietly, especially in order to avoid being seen. Creep can also be used to say that something changes gradually.


He crept downstairs, hardly making any noise.

If someone trudges somewhere, they walk there slowly and with difficulty.


They trudged wearily through the snow.

If someone strolls, ambles, or wanders somewhere, they walk there in a slow and relaxed way, without hurrying.


We spent the afternoon strolling around Budapest.
He ambled over to the window.
People wander in and out of the kitchen all day.

If someone dawdles, they go somewhere slowly, taking more time than is necessary. Dilly-dally is an old-fashioned informal word for this.


Don't dawdle, or you'll be late for school.
Hurry up! Stop dilly-dallying!

You say that clouds, smoke, balloons, etc. drift or float when they move slowly across the sky or in the air.


She lay on the grass watching the clouds drift past.
The blue and white balloons floated skywards.
