释义 | tacet verb music specializeduk /ˈteɪ.set/ us /ˈteɪ.sɪt//ˈtæs.ɪt/ it is silent: used in written music to show that a particular singer or instrument does not play during a part of a piece of music : The violin plays solo while the rest of the orchestra tacet. The alto and tenor parts are marked "tacet" for all but the final few bars of the piece. At first the violin and cello share the melody, but then the violin takes over with the cello tacet. The third trombone player is largely idle as the score is written, but can be used in passages marked "tacet" to improve the balance between the brass instruments.
