the state of having two or more fingers or toes joined together by a thin piece of skin. It is normal in some animals, and can also happen as a medical condition in people:
Minor anomalies are found in some patients, such as partial syndactyly of the 2nd and 3rd toes.
The condition is characterized by increased head height, flat face, and feet and hand syndactylies.
Syndactylism is a condition in which there is partial or total webbing connecting two or more fingers or toes.
Diprotodonts exhibit syndactyly: they have the second and third digits of the foot fused together up to the base of the claws.
Minor degrees of syndactyly or joint space webbing can be difficult to detect.
