The condition is characterized by increased head height, flat face, and feet and hand syndactylies. Syndactylism is a condition in which there is partial or total webbing connecting two or more fingers or toes. Diprotodonts exhibit syndactyly: they have the second and third digits of the foot fused together up to the base of the claws. Minor degrees of syndactyly or joint space webbing can be difficult to detect.
