Numerous spheres also occur on and between spores and on the inner surface of the sporangium wall. Dispersed examples occur in the resin outside the sporangium wall. Spores are not present in any of the sporangia. Some of the sporangia have dehisced, whereas others remain entire, and none contain spores. All exhibit open sporangia, and a few spores lying against sporangial walls were observed in light microscopy. Consequently, the experimental design may have led to a unique flash of parasites, while a continuous release of parasite sporangia may occur under natural conditions. The outer margins of the sporangia of this specimen are more strongly convex than in the other examples. The sporangia are laterally attached even after dehiscence.
