The livestock element has tended to be viewed by scientists as an adjunct to crops, to which it contributes manure and draught power. Some political scientists have demonstrated how the prospects for democratization are enhanced by wars. Scientific theories are often the result of years or decades of hard work, sometimes with many scientists from different laboratories contributing.
