Increases in percentage germination and extension of the plumule and radicle length occurred mostly in intermediate vigour seed samples.
Seeds were considered germinated when both the plumule and radicle had extended to more than 2 mm.
The plumule and radicle length of 10 randomly selected seedlings in each replicate was measured after nine days.
