The point forecast for migration assumed that the recent heavy out-migration declines towards zero net-migration in the coming decade. In all parishes both in- and out-migration was frequent, though in some the movement was more frenetic than in others. Because of much out-migration from the villages, good and inexpensive housing is easily available. One result is considerable out-migration; and another, the relative reluctance of others to migrate into the region.
