释义 | mass spectrometer noun[ C ] physics specializeduk /ˌmæs spekˈtrɒm.ɪ.tər/ us /ˌmæs spekˈtrɑː.mə.t̬ɚ/(alsospectroscope) a piece of equipment used by scientists to separate ions into groups to measure and compare their mass and electrical charge质谱仪 SolStock/E+/GettyImages Laboratory equipment aspirator bell jar bubble chamber Buchner funnel Bunsen burner calorimeter condenser evaporating dish flask litmus microscope particle accelerator photometer pipette retort stand scope siphon synchrotron test tube transducer Examples of mass spectrometermass spectrometer The analysis of products was performed using a gas chromatograph coupled to an infrared detector and a quadrupole massspectrometer. The argon analysis was performed using the isotope dilution procedure on a noble gas massspectrometer in duplicate. The massspectrometer was used in static multi-collector mode for this study. The evolved gases are analysed by a massspectrometer. Individual oligomers produced in heating experiments on urea-amino acid mixtures were analysed using a liquid chromatograph massspectrometer. The diagnostic systems consisted of an electrostatic massspectrometer and an ion collector. The same massspectrometer is also able to detect negative ions resulting from a proton subtraction. The gas generated at each temperature will be analysed by the massspectrometer. Corrections were made for irradiation interference reactions and massspectrometer discrimination. This massspectrometer will also study other elements and look for methane in samples of the atmosphere. Time-of-flight massspectrometer and multiple-coincidence techniques are introduced which are the basic tools to study the fragmentation process on a femtosecond time scale and to distinguish among the multiple-fragmentation channels. The fine spray enters the heated capillary and the fine droplets evaporate leaving a beam of macromolecules to enter the massspectrometer through two differentially pumped chambers. Naturally, the experimental set-up used at that time did not permit the isolation of the carbon radicals, which were produced just in sufficient quantities to feed a massspectrometer. That requires capability for connecting the massspectrometer to a gas liquid chromotograph, as well as a high performance liquid chromatograph.
