Jimsonweed has been growing wild in Hawaii at least since 1871. He had drunk a tea brewed from the seeds of jimson weed. Jimson weed is frequently found growing wild in neglected fields. The leaves and stems of jimsonweed release an unpleasant odour when crushed. Although jimsonweed is highly toxic, it has been used to treat asthma and Parkinson's disease.
