释义 | BETA Examples of imidaclopridimidacloprid isn’t in the Cambridge Dictionary yet. You can help! Aphids were virtually non-existent in both the imidacloprid treated and untreated blocks. At present, acetamiprid, imidacloprid and thiamethoxam are being used extensively because of their effectiveness against important pests like whiteflies and aphids. In laboratory culture on cotton, these strains - originally collected from melon/cucumber - regained susceptibility to imidacloprid after six weeks. However, concerns over potential resistance development to compounds in this group have been expressed, especially in light of the heavy reliance that has been placed upon imidacloprid. In contrast, diagnostic concentrations of methamidophos (200 mg l 1) and imidacloprid (15 mg l 1) resulted in >60% and >80% mortality for all strains tested, respectively. At the time of this study the resistance level to imidacloprid in this strain was about 120-fold. It has been maintained in the laboratory under selection to imidacloprid for approximately 9 years. This may suggest the absence or very low frequency of genes capable of providing resistance to imidacloprid in this species. Imidacloprid itself does not contain any bond susceptible to this metabolic mechanism of resistance. A diagnostic concentration of imidacloprid was used to assess the susceptibility of a wider range of strains. These results are not surprising considering the heavy usage of imidacloprid on one cropping system for 9 months of the year. Yuma populations were the most susceptible to imidacloprid. Applications of imidacloprid early in the spring generation of nymphs proved very effective at reducing nymphs and sustaining lower densities of adults through summer. This translates into continual applications of insecticides, especially imidacloprid, throughout the 9-month period. This strain has been maintained under periodic selection with systemic applications of imidacloprid. In 2001, a total of 12 untreated orange trees and 12 imidacloprid-treated orange trees were bucket sampled each week. Most of the strains were derived from places known for their aphid resistance problems to conventional insecticides before imidacloprid was introduced. After receiving reports of poor whitefly control on imidacloprid-treated melons, whitefly samples were shipped to our laboratory for evaluation. Despite the presence of high resistance to imidacloprid in the two strains, cross-resistance to dinotefuran was low. |
