词汇 | eyedness |
释义 | eyedness noun[ U ] uk /ˈaɪd.nəs/ us /ˈaɪd.nəs/ Your eyedness describes which eye you prefer to use, for example when you aim a gun, or use a telescope: Most of us don't think about our eyedness but if you do, you'll soon notice whether you are left-eyed or right-eyed. Just as most people are right-handed, eyedness normally favours the right-hand side. There are many tests for eyedness, but a simple one is to ask someone to look through a microscope and note which eye they use. It's just as important to consider your eyedness as your handedness when you choose how to stand when you're batting.
