A similar procedure applied to the twenty-seven papers in the initial purposivesample identified eight economic evaluations, two of which were not found from the literature search. Chapters 7 and 9 describe related projects, both qualitative research based on small purposive samples. We used purposive sampling methods to ensure a range of socio-economic backgrounds, demographic characteristics and experiences.
