Non-specific immunoreactivity was assessed by incubation of the cells without the primaryantibody. No bands were detected in control assays carried out without the primaryantibody (data not shown). Autoemission controls with preimmune serum and omission of primaryantibody were all negative. The immunostaining without the incubation in primaryantibody was performed to confirm the specificity of the secondary antibody binding. As a control for secondary antibody specificity, tissue processing was also conducted in the absence of the primaryantibody. The immunoblot of 10% of lysate input was performed with primaryantibody as indicated.
