In other words, this analysis does not negate previous findings that opinion change and attitude stability vary by politicalsophistication. We also tested indirectly (using education as a proxy variable) whether levels of politicalsophistication or information affected our conclusions. Politicalsophistication reflects the degree to which individuals consume political information, creating gaps in campaign reception across individuals. A parallel concept to democratic quality that has been suggested in this paper is politicalsophistication. Campaigns appear to generate learning about ideology among those with the least information, individuals with low levels of politicalsophistication. On the contrary, it may attest to a degree of politicalsophistication. The alternative label 'intellect' suggests a possible overlap between openness to experience and indicators of politicalsophistication such as education level and political knowledge. Comparison between these rebellions also highlights interesting contrasts, particularly in terms of scale and politicalsophistication. These examples are from corpora and from sources on the web.
