Examples of pictograph

The pictographs are "conduits" through which the thematic contents are communicated.
A pictograph is an icon of its referent, as is a portrait of the individual who sat for it.
The target and distractors are not indicated by lights, but by pictographs projected onto the buttons.
Each original pictograph symbolized a referent, and its sound value was determined according to the acrophonic principle by the initial phoneme of its name.
Fortunately, written lists for the villages studied here were probably transcribed from pictographs over a short period of time and then no further amendments were made.
